Improv workshops that build confidence, strengthen bonds, and are just plain fun

Laugh 1st is an improvisational teaching organization that offers workshops for companies interested in something out of the ordinary. Our training program teaches your employees how to be more confident, how to collaborate, and most importantly, how to loosen up. Improv games are so fun that everyone will want to participate. A common side effect? Unexpected bonds are often forged along the way.

Laugh 1st was started by two guys whose lives were changed by improv. Now, we’re eager to shake up how companies train their employees.

It’s hard to dress up a company function as anything other than what it is. With the endless fun improv has to offer, employees will forget they’re at work. Our workshops will teach them important soft skills that help with career development, and beyond.

"But isn't improv just for actors?"

"No way!"

Improv challenges us to grow in ways we never considered. It gently nudges us beyond the limits of our comfort zone to become the best version of ourselves. Here are just a few of the practical skills we learn from improv:

Team building

"Yes and..." means honoring and building off of our teammates. Improv shows us how to create together and support each other.

Active listening

Training ourselves to pay attention to our partners hones our listening skills. The more we notice, the more present we become.

Public speaking

It's not easy speaking in front of a large crowd. But when we do it together and support each other, fears will gradually melt away.
